Certified Built Green builder announces new models at The Cottages at Erie Village

Boulder Creek Neighborhoods has announced that as of Jan. 1, they are now a certified Built Green home builder.

The company, known for developing innovative, low-maintenance communities across Boulder County, has been following sustainable building practices on projects for some time.

“We’re just making official the commitment we have already made to sustainable building, environmentally sourced materials and green construction practices,” says marketing director David Sinkey.

“All the homes we have built since breaking ground a year ago at Blue Vista in Longmont have met Built Green standards. Home owners appreciate the quality of construction and the monthly savings in the cost of ownership that comes with these homes,” Sinkey says. “You’ll find the same quality in our other communities, too, including the new
models at Erie Village.”

The Cottages at Erie Village

The big news at The Cottages are the new floor plans, at an incredible price point that is bound to attract strong interest from people looking to downsize without sacrificing quality and lifestyle.

“We’ve been getting a lot of interest from people who really like the ranch plans at Erie Village, but tell us that they don’t really need a full basement – that they have everything they need with two bedrooms and all the living space on the main level,” David Sinkey reports. “So we developed a new line of floor plans based on our existing ranch plans, but without the lower level. Taking out the stairwell adds significant space back to the main level, which has allowed us to create larger master bathrooms and closets. We’ve also included an easily accessible, lit crawl space to store extra household items.

“So, without sacrificing any of the functionality, we’re now able to offer models that are selling for tens of thousands of dollars less,” Sinkey says. “For instance, we have a Newhaven ranch plan at $219,900. Our most popular ranch plan, the Nantucket, has come all the way down to $229,900.”

“The Cottages at Erie Village are off the beaten path,” Martin says, explaining that while the neighborhood is only minutes from major highways, residents don’t have to hear the din of busy traffic throughout the day. “And our residents like the small, manageable size of this community and its HOA. With only 47 homes, you avoid a lot
of the problems and complications that can occur with larger homeowners’ associations.” Dues are only $160 a month, an exceptionally low cost when you consider the full spectrum of services it affords, including all exterior maintenance, snow removal, trash and water.

Two are at the drywall stage and ready for buyers to choose their custom finishes, and the remaining home – perfect for the single owner who appreciates efficiency without compromising quality – is being framed.

The Heritage at Vista Ridge

Situated on a ridge with sweeping mountain views, The Heritage at Vista Ridge features patio homes designed for

“Our premium sites are going quickly,” says Dave Hildebrand, community sales manager, “and we’re down to our last 14 home sites.” There are five homes currently under construction. One home backs to the Vista Ridge golf course, which leaves only two sites featuring this prime location. “We’re also offering homes not directly on the golf course priced from $369,000 to $375,000,” Hildebrand says. Homes on either side of these models have sold and appraised in the $400s and one of them includes an elevator.

“We have a Somerset model, with mountain views from the office and deck, with five-inch hickory floors, granite
countertops and custom paint, that can be ready in 30 days for a new owner.” Hildebrand also says that, to complement the no-maintenance living, the next three homebuyers at The Heritage will enjoy twicemonthly maid service for an entire year.
